Cristy has a very diverse background having worked in both preventive and reactive health care. With over 20 years experience in exercise science, fitness development, and nutrition counseling combined with over 8 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, she has developed a very keen sense of the needs of being able to work synergistically with nature and science. Managing the corporate fitness programs for NASA at the Kennedy Space Center has given Cristy insights into the business world that few could impart.
As a result of these combined experiences, the company Synergistic Health was born. The purpose of this company is to help people and businesses become more in tune with their bodies and be more responsible for the ultimate care of themselves by taking an all-encompassing approach. This business takes the role of health care very seriously and addresses the key needs of people being able to prevent and reverse disease in all areas of peoples lives, including physical, emotional and nutritional wellness. Mary is certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Mary started her employment at the John F. Kennedy Space Center as an Exercise Specialist in the KSC Fitness Centers. She developed a center-wide back injury reduction initiative called the "Back at Work" program. She developed and manages the KSC RehabWorks program, a free, on site physical medicine and musculoskeletal rehabilitation clinic for the 15,000 employees of the Kennedy Space Center. Considered a "NASA Best Practice" facility, it provides athletic training health care for diagnosis related to work, non-work, and sports injuries as well as post-surgical cases.
By request of Johnson Space flight surgeons, Mary has provided athletic training services to the astronaut corps members while at KSC, including launch and landing support of the Space Shuttle prime crew.
Mary has lectured on athletic training and health topics for organizations such as The National Athletic Trainers' Association, The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance and more! She has also conducted lectures at universities across the U.S., and written articles for Athletic Therapy Today and the NFL Youth Football and Safety series.
Having worked with international athletes, Summer Olympic Games, Disney, the Blue Man Group and the aging workforce of the space center, Mary is highly qualified to work with people aged 10 - 110.

Mary Anne is a New Yorker by birth who spent approximately 30 years in the corporate world. While working in the aerospace industry in Florida, she pursued her Bachelor's degree and CPA designation. She has worked in a Big 4 public accounting firm, in the health-care industry, specializing in auditing and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
Mary Anne has always had a passion for fitness and nutrition. At the age of 43, Mary Anne attempted her first marathon, qualifying for Boston. She has now run over 35 more marathons, and continues to run at least two marathons annually, coupled with weight training and yoga.
Mary Anne left her career in finance and accounting to pursue her true passion and innate talents: helping others get fit, healthy, organized and improve their self-image. She has successfully helped several clients during her first year in business lose weight, get organized and feel better. Among them is a high-level business executive in his early 60s who has lost more than 75 pounds and continues to shed the weight in a healthy, safe manner, while learning how to incorporate moderate exercise and healthy eating habits into his fast-paced lifestyle.
